Wind Power India Cost
In case of Wind Power how many units of electricity does a 15 Mw project produce anually , typically ?

Detail of Wind power project in India , and how to calculate costs etc ?

15 MW project is the “nameplate” value of the power produced. Nameplates are a strange hangover from the legacy grid system, where having a 10 megawatt coal fired plant meant that you could provide 10 megawatts per hour if you were running that plant at 100% capacity.

The nameplate is the “ideal” power produced from the system, and it’s the power produced only under very high winds (typically 11 meters per second or faster). As another reader provided, determing and translating nameplates into totoal annual power produced requires (nameplate * capacity factor (how often and how fast the wind is blowing at your site) that tells you total power.

Nameplates are not wholly useful in renewables, and I’ve written about their non-sensical nature, and other wind energy matters here: wind-sail.blogspot.com

So, assuming this wind project is installed in a “typical”
